Dr Arpita Bhattacharyya (Paeditric Oncology) graduated from Medical College, Calcutta in 1987. She obtained her Diploma in Child Health in 1991 and MRCP in Paediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians, UK, in 1997. After her core training in Paediatrics in various hospitals in UK including Milton Keyenes General Hospital, she got training in Paediatric Haematology and Oncology at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Glasgow. After her return to India, Dr Bhattacharyya has worked as a Consultant in Paediatric Haematology and Oncology at Calcutta Medical Research Institute followed by Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Kolkata.
At present ,she is Senior Consultant in the department of Paediatric Oncology at Tata Medical Center, Kolkata. Her special interests are solid tumours, especially Neuroblastoma, and supportive care.
